Fairchild Air Force Base - June 2017 thru June 2018

Something for Everyone:

the 92nd Force Support Squadron story

Whatever your schtic is, we make it happen.

PROBLEM

“Our customers don’t attend base events”

In 2017, approximately $30,000 would be budgeted and spent on annual morale and resiliency programming for the 92nd Air Refueling Wing. These funds would be divided between customer segments to produce comprehensive programming for families, children, first-term Airmen, and adults.

Before the formation of the Community Programming and Partnership Office (CPPO), morale events often received low attendance and insufficient support across the base. Force Support organization such as the community center, youth programming, and the Air Force Services Club would run their own calendar of events without collaboration.

  • low attendance

  • insufficient cross-org marketing

  • inconsistent quality programming

  • no, or low commercial sponsorship

SOLUTION

Provide event programming that is consistent with
the needs of our customers

  • introduced and marketed 15 base events

  • captured 2,000 attendees

  • increased average attendance 40%

The 75th Anniversary of Fairchild AFB was celebrated in a festival of events and educational experiences for the community, culminating in a formal ball. The Fairchild Annual was developed as a gift for all attendees.

The team that brought the magic to Fairchild AFB.

Making memorable experiences was our brand and business. Challenging the way that morale events were being run, we sought out methods to improve their quality and boost community engagement.
